We Heart 40+ Years Old Woman!

From CBS 60 Minutes - Andy Rooney

As I grow in age, I value women over 40 most of all.

Here are just a few reasons why:

A woman over 40 will never wake you in the middle of the night and ask,
"What are you thinking?"
She doesn't care what you think.

If a woman over 40 doesn't want to watch the game,
she doesn't sit around whining about it.
She does something she wants to do, and it's usually more interesting.

Women over 40 are dignified.
They seldom have a screaming match with you at the opera
or in the middle of an expensive restaurant.
Of course, if you deserve it, they won't hesitate to shoot you
if they think they can get away with it.

Older women are generous with praise, often undeserved.
They know what it's like to be unappreciated.

Women get psychic as they age.
You never have to confess your sins to a woman over 40.

Once you get past a wrinkle or two,
a woman over 40 is far sexier than her younger counterpart.

Older women are forthright and honest.
They'll tell you right off if you are a jerk if you are acting like one.
You don't ever have to wonder where you stand with her.

Yes, we praise women over 40 for a multitude of reasons.
Unfortunately, it's not reciprocal.

For every stunning, smart, well-coiffed, hot woman over 40,
there is a bald, paunchy relic in yellow pants
making a fool of himself with some 20-year old waitress.

Ladies, I apologize.
For all those men who say,
"Why buy the cow when you can get the milk for free?",
here's an update for you.
Nowadays 80% of women are against marriage.
Why?
Because women realize it's not worth buying an entire pig
just to get a little sausage!

Demi Moore looks good than ever in her 40's

Note: Happy Mother's Day to all woman in the world especially the one that is looking good and smoking hot in the "mature" age!

Nuffnang - BIAS ????!!!!

I love Nuffnang, really! It makes blogging interesting. I know lots of blogger through it. Wonderful, young and talented bloggers. But lately I feel disappointed on how Nuffnang justified bloggers. I am not talking about how they manage the advertisement in our blog. It's great, fair and square. No complaint about it. But on how they justified bloggers on contest i.e movie tickets give away.
I normally don't complain about things. And for this small contest,  it's petty for me. But I do feel that some of the bloggers, especially students they deserve some recognition. I see that Nuffnang have favors for certain bloggers. They get movie tickets over and over again. (You can see on Innit, some people updated that they get movie screening few times in a row). I did also send few (more than 5) entry for those contest, and as you can see I never got one.
Maybe some people will say, this is word of jealousy. But honestly, I am not. I am not talking about myself but for all my other blogger friends. We all support Nuffnang, Nuffnang is in that level now because of each and every single blogger that register with them. Don't you think that it's fair to give a small credit to all of us? Think about it. I know Nuffnang started to give movie tickets for birthday, I will see into that. Lets hope Nuffnang keep their words. Or maybe it just for certain people???

cheers,
Pixie.

We Are Our Own Angel and Demon

My daughter asked me yesterday, "Who am I?", I am thinking of the correct answer to give her. She being half Malay and Indian looks more Indian on the feature and more Malay on the attitude. That is what I thought I should answer.

I think twice.

Few weeks back everytime I read news or watch TV, I feel shivers on my spine. People are fighting over religions and racism issues, here and there they parade on strikes over burning of Quran or Bible, people are protesting the construction of mosque or the demolishing of the temple. Everyone have their own saying. Everyone think that they have their rights and they are better than the others. But everyone forget that we are infact all human.

I am enthusiast to talk about the US Pastor, Terry Jones with his gimmick to burn Quran and cancelled it not long after that, or about the Islamophobic issues of building a religious center in Ground Zero, Manhattan. But I dare not. My country even small have our own racism issues that we have to deal with. I can just close my eyes or deafen my ears like always everytime I face this issues but I think we have enough of that. We are our own angel and demon. It is true that human are born capable of things. We have the power of mind and words and we are all well aware of that. But it seems like we human always take these two lightly. Resulting in war, riots and worse people being killed. It is not people known by us. But what if it is? Will we think about it more deeply then of our action?

Lets not go too far, let just look around us. I have this blogger friend of mine, she is just 16. Still in school. She added me on my facebook after been following my blog. Lastweek she posted on her wall that Malays are pig. I were shaken to read it. She watched this clip about a guy being hit and run by Malay guy. Later on few peoples commenting on the post and fighting over the races. Sadly all are so young. Where are these youngsters learn how to be so pessimistic on races. Thus, we all our own angel and demon.

It is true that the kindest word of all is the unkind word remain unsaid. Religions teach us to be careful on the acts and words of our ownself. It is weird when people talking loudly on prejudism or racism in the name of religion whereby no religion ever promote it. In Quran clearly stated, "O mankind! We created you from a male and a female and made you into nations and tribes that you may know and honor each other (not that you should despise one another). Indeed the most honorable of you in the sight of God is the most righteous." Chapter 49, Verse 13 and clearly we do not force others to believe what they do not believe; "In the name of Allah, The Most Merciful, The Most Beneficent, For me is my religion, and for you is your religion" (Al-Kafiroun: 6). Hence, we are in fact our own angel and demon.

My daughter asked me again today; "Who am I?", after her friend's parents refused her to play in their house because she is not one of them. After long pause, I said, "Asked your friend to come and play here then. In our house. I don't mind, we are all Malaysian. I see you and I see them as kids. You are all the same to me. And you, you are what you think you are. If you think that you are Malay then you are one. If you think that you are Indian, nobody can't say you are not, because in the end all of us just going the same way".

Maybe she doesn't understand what I mean. Yet. But I am thankful for the power of mind and words bestowed on me. I am thankful for the country that I share with others but still able to breathe the fresh air. I am thankful for the history lesson I learned in school that war doesn't solve anything and if you blind your eyes on the colours of the skin, the origins of people, something great can be work out together.

Maybe next time when people get into trouble in the news, instead of asking whether they are Malay or Chinese or Indian, I will ask are they fine? Maybe next time when people write racism article I will just delete it instead of pass it to others like rubbing salt to open wound, Maybe next time instead of saying I am Malay, I will say I am Malaysian. For the end of the day, I am the one who can decide to make this world better or to ruin it, for in the end heaven is the place on earth, for in the end I am the angel and the demon.

Imagine there's no Heaven, It's easy if you try, No hell below us, Above us only sky, Imagine all the people, Living for today, Imagine there's no countries, It isn't hard to do, Nothing to kill or die for, And no religion too, Imagine all the people, Living life in peace, You may say that I'm a dreamer, But I'm not the only one, I hope someday you'll join us, And the world will be as one, Imagine no possessions, I wonder if you can, No need for greed or hunger, A brotherhood of man, Imagine all the people, Sharing all the world - John Lennon : Imagine

I Cant believe I Used to Love That Band!

I was 14 and naive and I remember I am the die hard fan of all the heavy metal or thrash band. You named it from Metallica to KISS to Black Sabbath to Iron Maiden, ACDC, Van Halen and Halloween. My daily activity would be coming back from school, threw my school bag, got in the room and put on the heavy metal song on the radio, LOUDLY! I drove my mom crazy. I would jumped on the bed and did the head banging, rocking like nobody business. Now I cant even listened to a very loud music, give me headache! oh how age is catching up.....

ACDC is highly recognized Australian Heavy Metal Band and their song Highway to Hell is like ghostly or what we call in Malay "berantu!" After recording this song, the lead singer and co-song writer, Bon Scott died, after a night of heavy alcohol consumption. The group briefly considered disbanding, but soon new singer was selected to replace Scott. Later that year, the band released their highest selling album, Back In Black.
"I'm on a highway to hell

On the highway to hell

Highway to hell

I'm on the highway to hell"
-Highway to Hell - ACDC

Black Sabbath : Ozzy is one hell of a man! his drinking led him to be fired from the band.

KISS - Grunge man!
With their makeup and costumes, they took on the personae of comic book style characters: The Demon (Simmons), Starchild (Stanley), Spaceman (Frehley), and Catman (Criss). The band explains that the fans were the ones who ultimately chose their makeup designs. The "Demon" makeup reflected Simmons's cynicism and dark sense of humor, as well as his affection for comic books. Paul Stanley became the "Starchild" because of his tendency to be referred to as the "starry-eyed lover" and "hopeless romantic." Ace Frehley's "Spaceman" makeup was a reflection of his fondness for science fiction and supposedly being from another planet. Peter Criss's "Catman" makeup was in accordance with the belief that Criss had nine lives because of his rough childhood in Brooklyn.

Metallica - some of their song still give me goosebumps until today, the like of the Unforgiven, Nothing Really Matters OOo

Van Halen - mass and mass of controversy surrounded them

Halloween is one of my favorite, I still can sing to Windmill till now.

me : before

me : now!

I Dont Talk to Stranger

After a late night out yesterday, i woke up so late and rushed to the station. Not really "rushed out", its more like dragging my feet like a zombie. I am so sleepy, and my eyes is half open that i keep on dozing off while walking. it just my day that the train is not so packed. I get a seat then happily having a little sleep. why i called it Little sleep is because i have to make sure that i am aware of where i am, i had the experiences of missing my stop so many times that it haunting me to be alert. When i reach KL Central, i went up to the taxi stand, bought the coupon and stop the taxi to Sri Hartamas. Being sleepy head, the last thing that i need is engage in a conversation especially with a stranger. But the taxi driver, having a pretty passenger like me (totally..), just could not let me enjoy the motion lullaby and let me taking another little sleep. He keep on talking and talking and talking. And I, having a little patient in me, the next thing I know were shouting "Talk to the hand!". tsk tsk tsk thats why they say dont mess with the sleepy lioness.
